Nursing Society is commited to offering our assistance to the Nursing student body. In past, Nursing Society has organized exam review sessions with Professors (food included!). We have also offered free studying materials and snacks during Nursing Students' Week.


Nursing Society supports multiple charitable organizations. Some organizations that benefited from Nursing Society's assistance include

  • Canadian Cancer Society

  • University of Windsor Campus Food Bank

  • Windsor's Downtown Mission


The Nursing Society has both an official delegate and two associate delegates for the CNSA. These positions act as a liaison between our Nursing students and the CNSA. 


Nursing Society is committed to keeping ties strong with the community. The following are are just some of the ways Nursing Society remains activity involved in the community.

  • Serving food at the Downtown Mission

  • Volunteering at the Campus Food Bank

  • Participating in Open Streets

  • Organizing a blood donation day


A pinning ceremony is a symbolic welcoming of newly graduated nurses into the nursing profession. Your year representatives on Nursing Society fundraise throughout the year for your pinning ceremony. In fourth year your representatives plan the graduate pinning ceremony. 

UWindsor Campus Food Bank

Iona College and Canterbury, with the support of the SLS and UWSA, have opened a Food Bank Service for University of Windsor students. Nursing Society members volunteer at the Food Bank throughout the year. The Food Bank can be located in the basement of Canterbury College at 2500 University Avenue West, Windsor ON.
